Ravenous offers an intriguing simulation that challenges players to assume the perspective of a raven, engaging with both environmental and survival obstacles. The game emphasizes the importance of flight efficiency and adaptive behaviors, with players tasked to extend their flying distances and gather resources to ensure survival and attract a mate. This approach provides an insightful look into avian adaptations, combining gameplay with educational value.

As part of the Leveling Up collection developed by EdGE at TERC, Ravenous aims to support science learning through interactive play. The game exemplifies how mechanics can reflect real scientific principles, encouraging players to explore concepts such as aerodynamics and behavioral strategies in a fun and engaging manner.

EdGE's mission is to demonstrate that meaningful learning occurs across diverse environments, including through game-based experiences. Their focus is on designing and studying games that not only entertain but also accurately mirror scientific phenomena, fostering curiosity and understanding among players.
